Welcome to The Flyfords Family of Churches’ website.
Let me introduce myself, if we have not already met, I am the Church of England parish priest for the group of parishes comprising: Abberton, Bishampton, Flyford Flavell , Grafton Flyford, Naunton Beauchamp, North Piddle and Throckmorton. I arrived in September 2008.
As a newcomer, one of the main reasons why I felt ‘called’ to serve here is that I discovered, on my initial visits to this area, how welcoming our churches and their communities are to strangers. After nine months, I now realise just how much energy and enthusiasm these church communities have in offering help and outreach to the villages which they serve.
However, in order for our church communities to grow, develop and serve, we discovered that there was a need to take a fresh look at our worship patterns, styles of worship, and ways of serving you to establish even closer connections with your communities and your needs. This has created a great opportunity for this group of churches to come together and reinvigorate how we can help.
I have, on behalf of the Flyfords family of churches, great pleasure in offering you this website. I sincerely hope that there will be something of interest on the site for everyone, even if it is just the peace of mind that the church and its community is here to welcome and support you whenever you may feel the need.
Included on the website are two short films under the worship drop down menu lasting about 7 minutes. I hope you and your household will enjoy these informal introductions to both the Christian year contained in a short film called Transforming Worship and a production called Hope of the Nations which is a contemporary reflection on the Christian faith.
